I played the demo for a bit and had a good overall impression. The art style is polished and visually appealing. Visuals and audio also blend together nicely.

Here are some minor suggestions and thoughts:

  • The way the orb moves by hopping gives an impression of vertical (Y-axis) movement, similar to jumping, yet not exactly like a jump. This makes the control a bit ambiguous. Is this a jump mechanic or just moving forward?
  • The sound effect used when the orb hops could possibly be improved—it feels somewhat off.
  • Also curious: why did you choose hopping instead of gliding or floating forward? love to hear the reasoning behind this design choice.
  • It's great that there's a collectible orb placed to the left at the very beginning, rewarding exploration. However, the specific method for collecting it is only introduced if the player first moves to the right. This seems slightly counterintuitive and might benefit from clearer guidance.
  • Lastly, I'm currently stuck at the magnet section; I'm not sure what's expected here or how to proceed. Perhaps the puzzle design or hints could be made clearer to guide players effectively.
